So ends Chapter 2! If you are wondering if the comic is now being presented in color *l*, no. The comic has always had color in it. We use color to catch the reader’s eye on various occasions and usually to hint at a clue or two. But for this “Red Lady”, I do believe she will always appear in red instead of grayscale, just as Dorothy, even in color, appears grayscale instead of colored in. It is the nature of the character and/or what they are wearing that has decided their chromatic fate;)

Shards turns 2 years old on June 25th. That is a Monday and I will be posting a special pic instead of a strip on that day. I’m not sure yet if I have more planned. I’m still incredibly busy and still trying to get a buffer up before my vacation at the end of June but there are more ideas we have stewing on the backburner. There will definitely be some new additions to the “Opposition” page very soon:) Check back around Thursday!
I’m eager to get to Chapter 3 so this strip has a lot of dialogue crammed into it. My main point was to show that Mother Goose and Dr. Muffet are aware of everything that has gone on and it raises a lot of concerns in the back of their minds, but the heroes must continue on anyway.
If you want to know what the Library is actually saying, I selected excerpts from two random websites:
here and here. Velvy may seem smarter in this strip but it was hard getting the point across without using bigger words. He isn’t too wordy, our lovable disease-ridden lepus, but he’s not stupid so it was a toss-up deciding how to word his translation.
