Normally, I try not to let real life interfere with the output of strips. The two funerals, one baby shower, two major holidays at a flower shop, and other things going on I could compensate for. But, sometimes, things happen. I am sick yet again this week. My son’s eardrum burst this morning. It’s been a long week so far and it’s only half over. And now my drawing tablet is acting funny… So, yeah, no strip done… But instead of a miserly sketch trying to show the events dragging me down, I decided to show my happy and ecstatic side looking forward to when I am back doing regular strips and my kids are healthy again. Oh, and me, too ;) I like being not sick. Like… a LOT.

The strip is not completed for this week. The reason being my last grandparent died this week and I am still shuffling things about. I thought of posting a memorial pic but I instead wrote something for my personal Facebook page and shall not clutter here unnecessarily. Forgive the delay in the strip. It shall be finished in it’s entirety next week on Thursday.
Well, it’s official. A month of sick people sucks up all my time for strips. This week it is just a sketch. Sorry. As I am getting over being sick, my daughter gets sick, then my son. Raging fever. Sigh. Strip will be finished Thurs. the 12th. No more sickness, plz…
Apologies. The strip is behind due to a lack of energy, my daughter puking, and now I have an upset stomach. Really don’t wanna puke. Gotta stop working on stuff… Look for the finished strip next Thursday due to the coming holiday schedule bearing down on me.
For those of you on Twitter and Facebook, I announced that there would be a surprise Saturday sketch of concept art for a character you’ll soon be seeing. I finished it sooner than expected, otherwise I’d have announced it with the last Thursday strip. Any guesses as to who this might be?
Although I don’t have the strip ready yet, here is another project I’d like to undertake and wanted to know if anyone would want to buy one.
I’ve been discussing this project with someone who has a shop on Etsy. She says he’s doable but the chest tuft may present a problem so I drew him without it to see if he’d still be “Velvy” enough.
