Well, we’ve had a few site issues lately due to our unsteady web host, DreamHost. Not sure what their issue has been this year but the site has been down at least three times that I know of this year. Eh. Anyway, we’re back up, and we’ve reached our first goal! $40 has been earned and a brand new extra strip is due for you all. I was sketching the first strip for the “Rumplestiltskin/Snow White” story arc when TB mentioned that perhaps you would like to see just more of the current story as rewards for the donation rally, instead of starting a brand new story arc. Opinions? I’ll look for your answers for a week and then present the new extra strip. Feel free to keep donating, too! Every new set of $40 gets you an extra strip. We just need to decide if you want a new story arc or just to get me to put out strips faster in the current storyline.
It’s come to my attention that perhaps you would all like to see the donation money used for an extra strip in the current story instead of starting a new story arc. So… Every $40 gets you an extra strip from the current story or from the new arc? Opinions?
The Donation Rally has started and I’ve already received $5 toward our $40 goal! For every $40 received, I’ll put out an extra strip pertaining to one of the side arcs shown in Chapter 2, Page 3. First up is the side arc “Rumplestiltskin/Snow White”. Once we get our donations to $40, the first strip will be the heroes portalling into the story to get that shard back! More weekly excitement and adventure await so join us in helping get more Shards comics out!
Today was the last day of the Favorite Characters poll! The winner, by over 30% of the votes, was Miss Muffet! By Sunday, you will see the new Donation button which starts our first Donation Rally. The whole thing will be listed in detail when you click on the Donation Button but some of the basics are: I will do one strip pertaining to one of the story arcs mentioned on July 19, 2012 (Ch3, Pg2) every time the goal is met. If for some reason you all are loaded with cash but I find myself out of time to do that many, I may up the stakes:) Or perhaps offer sketched strips for cheaper. Opinions?
